Charlie Small, 93, of Paragould, formerly of Corning, passed away December 21, 2022 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
Mr. Small was born February 3, 1929 in Hickoria. He proudly served in the US Air Force and was a World War II Veteran. Charlie was a farmer and he was the parts manager for Case IH in Corning for 41 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and raising his garden each year. He was a Deacon and founding member of Millhouse General Baptist Church in Corning.
On October 8, 1949, he married Christine Kersey. They were married 71 years prior to her death on May 4, 2021.
Survivors include his children Ronnie (Sherrie) Small of Corning, AR., Teresa (Gene) Martin of Corning, AR., Rory (Dana) Small of Paragould, AR.; grandchildren Tara Bush, Heather Chandler, Cynthia (Charles) Stull, Trampas (Felisha) Small, Cody Small, Jenny (Ray) Maple, Cammia Small, Devin Clemmer, Hunter (Bryson) Faulkner and Jordan (Landon) Faulkner Lamb; 26 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Bessie (Dobbins) Small; brothers Mintril, John, Junior, and Jack Small; and sisters Hazel French, Lucy Banks, and Opal Howell.
Visitation will be held Monday December 26, 2022 at Ermert Funeral Home from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
