Mrs. Charlotte Goodman, 81, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, AR. Charlotte was born in Success, AR., on December 1, 1938. She was a bookkeeper for she and her husband’s company Goodman Steel Building. She worked tirelessly as a homemaker her entire life and side by side with her husband on their cattle farm for 35 years. She enjoyed canning and reading, she was an avid Cardinals baseball, Arkansas Razorback and Corning Bobcat fan. She was a member of Success First Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School for 45 years, beginning at Calvary Baptist Church in Corning, AR., then later continued at Success First Baptist Church. She helped start the AGAPE Mission in Corning, AR.
On August 5, 1955, she married Gene Goodman. He survives, other survivors include their daughters Terry Hatch of Newport, AR., Cheri and husband Dal Woolard of Corning, AR.; sisters Claudette Owens and Sara Allen; grandsons Kyle Hatch and wife Jenna, and Ethan Woolard; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, an extended church family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents N. E. “Mandy” and Oma (Cunningham) McGrew; sisters Doris Myers and Jean Sharpe.
Graveside funeral service will be conducted Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Corning Cemetery with Reverends Wayne Baldwin and Don Settles officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Success First Baptist Church, 182 CR 100, Success, AR 72470.
