Chris Archer, 53, of Brookland, passed away on April 6, 2026, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

He was born on July 7, 1972, in Paragould. Chris loved his family deeply and cherished spending time with his grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting.

On June 23, 1990, he married Shannon Ellis, and together they shared 35 years of marriage.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon Archer; his children, Hunter (Raechel) Archer and Meghan (Caleb) McCluskey, both of Yukon, Oklahoma; his brother, Denny (Candace) Archer of Knobel; and his seven grandchildren, Colton, Lucille, Arriella, Marley McCluskey, and Kaden and Carley Archer, along with many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecelia Merideth, and his grandson, Carson Archer.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Hosea Cemetery, with Bro. Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
