Mrs. Christine Louise Clarkson, 86, of Belzoni, MS., passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at Greenwood-Leflore Hospital in Greenwood, MS. Mrs. Clarkson was born in Arkansas on July 28, 1924. She was a homemaker.
She was married to husband Ezra E. Clarkson, he preceded her in death on December 2, 2005.
She is survived by three sons Randy Clarkson of Leland, MS., Roger Clarkson of Muleshoe, TX., David Clarkson of Belzoni, MS.; four daughters Becky McGlawn of Swiftown, MS., Kathy Coutu of Southport, NC., Alice Yates of Sarasota, FL., Peggy McLemore of Humbolt, TN.; three brothers Harvey Montgomery of Egypt, AR., Buddy Montgomery of Lafe, AR., Kyle Montgomery of Bourbon, MO.; four sisters Regina Fitzgerald of Cohokia, IL., Irene Highfill of Corning, AR., Wiley Nixon of McDougal, AR., Joetta Evers of Rector, AR.; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ezra Clarkson; parents Johnny Thomas and Carrie (Gatlin) Montgomery; son Larry F. Clarkson; daughter Judith Patterson.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow the services in Redenbo Cemetery near Corning, AR. Public visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
