Mrs. Altia Christine Small, 86, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Corning Therapy and Living Center. Mrs. Small was born February 10, 1935 in Cache Lake Community, Arkansas. She was retired from Basler Electric. Among other things, she enjoyed quilting, fishing, gardening, baking, canning and crafting home décor, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Millhouse General Baptist Church in Corning.
She met the love of her life, Charlie Small, at a Brush Arbor Revival. They were married on October 8, 1949, and recently celebrated their 71 st wedding anniversary. Other survivors include their children Ronnie Small and wife Sherrie of Corning, AR., Teresa and husband Gene Martin of Corning, AR., Rory Small and wife Dana of Paragould, AR.; grandchildren Tara Bush, Heather Chandler, Cynthia (Charles) Stull, Trampas (Felisha) Small, Cody Small, Jenny (Ray) Maple, Miranda (Tim) Roark, Cammia Small, Devin Clemmer, Hunter Faulkner and Jordan (Landon) Faulkner Lamb; 26 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Altia Christine (Kessler) Kersey; brothers Frank, Cleat, Harget and Roy Kersey; and sister Maxine Kersey Small.
Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Chapel with Scott Small and Adam Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
