Christine Tanner

Mrs. Christine Tanner, 97, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Randolph County Nursing Home in Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Tanner was born in Dalton, AR., on January 14, 1924. She was retired from Basler Electric and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, quilting, and cooking. She was of the Baptist faith.

On January 10, 1943, she married Leonard Tanner. They were married 73 years prior to his death on June 16, 2016.

Survivors include daughters Bobbie and husband Carlos Lester of Corning, AR., Betty and husband Charles Arnold of Batesville, AR., Barbara Skaggs of Corning, AR.; one sister-in-law Josephine Aquino of Pocahontas, AR.; grandchildren Charla and husband Michael Foster, Glendal Boyd; great-grandchildren Noah Tanner Foster and Journey Foster; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Earl Clyde and Emily Cora (Brewer) Reynolds; a brother; and two sisters.

Funeral service will be conducted Friday, June 4, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
