Mr. Chester Lee "C.L." Stallings, Jr., 70, of Gatewood, MO., passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mr. Stallings was born in Corning, AR., on November 29, 1943. He worked off shore, in factories and was an officer for the Corning Police Department. He enjoyed hunting and painting. He was of the Christian faith.
He married his wife of 49 years Leda Joyce (Weaver) Stallings on March 12, 1965. She survives.
Other survivors are two sons Tim Stallings, Sr., and wife Brenda of Corning, AR., Chad Stallings and wife Penny of Corning, AR.; one brother Randy Stallings and wife Billie of Poplar Bluff, MO.; two sisters Sue and husband Denver Turner of Doniphan, MO., Betty Woods of Memphis, TN.; four grandchildren Timmy Stallings, Jr., Taylor Stallings, Lauren Stallings, and Krystal Alspaugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents Chester Lee "Check" and Elsie Laura (Coonce) Stallings.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Watt, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow the services in Black’s Cemetery in Success, AR. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
