Cleva Means, age 92, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Born on November 12, 1933, in Corning, Arkansas, Cleva dedicated many years to her work at the Brown Shoe Factory before retiring. She found joy in spending time with her husband, James Means, who preceded her in death, particularly enjoying fishing with James. Cleva was a faithful attendee of the Skaggs Church of Christ in Pocahontas.

She is survived by her brother, Clevo Ruff of Pocahontas, Arkansas, along with several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will remember her fondly.

Cleva was preceded in death by her husband, James Means; her parents, Clevo Lucis and Lenora (Foster) Vinson; and her brother, Stan Vinson.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Skaggs Church of Christ in Pocahontas, Arkansas. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Dr. Drew Dawson officiating. Burial will take place thereafter at Corning Cemetery in Corning, Arkansas. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Ermert Funeral Home.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the compassion and support shown during this time of loss. Cleva’s life will be cherished in the hearts of all who knew her.
