Mr. Clifford Darrell "Buck" Sears, 74, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at home. Mr. Sears was born in Swinton, MO., on May 29, 1938. He was retired, having been a supervisor for several companies, and a farmer. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, serving as a personel specialist at the Air Force Academy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, crossword puzzles and listening to music. He attended First Apostolic Church in Corning.
He married his wife Barbara Lee Ruth (Curry) Sears on October 4, 1961, She survives, other survivors are two sons Terry Sears of Ulm, MT., Chris Sears of Paragould, AR.; one daughter Debra Gray of Memphis, TN.; one brother Bill Sears of Oseola, MS.; two sisters Helen Samons of Festus, MO., Sheirlene Dix of Portland, OR.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford Edward and Mollie Mae (Davis) Sears, two sons Jim E. Sears, Clifford W. Sears; one daughter Donna Sears and one brother Jake F. Sears.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 5:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Chris Dixon and Wayne Stacy officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2012 from 3:00 PM until the time of service.
