Colin Carpenter, 77, of Corning passed away December 10, 2021 at home.
Mr. Carpenter was born September 4, 1944. He was retired, but had owned a radiator shop locally. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He attended House of Prayer in Corning.
On June 3, 1963, he married Carolyn “Kitty” Carpenter. They celebrated their 48 th wedding anniversary prior to her death on July 3, 2011.
Survivors include his sons Vernie (Sarah) Carpenter and Kelly (Sharon) Carpenter of Corning; brothers Shay Carpenter of Eldon, MO, Greg Carpenter of Joplin, MO, Doug Carpenter of Marion, IL and Benny Carpenter of Knoxville, TN; sisters Tana Carpenter of Cheyenne, WY, Sue Morris of Alton, IL, Terrece Vallance, Elonda Carpenter, both of Pocahontas, Collece Henry of Walnut Ridge, Ginger Baxley of Texarkana, and Ambi Lester of Williford; grandchildren Rachel (Matt) Carpenter, Emily (David) DaVault, Matt (Kelsey) Carpenter, Julie (Joe) Zerby, Chelsea (Matt) Allen, Logan (Brianna) Carpenter, and Caitlyn Carpenter; great grandchildren Cadence, Mollie, Gracie, Cash, Sadie, Lane, Kollins, Vivian, Pyper, Rayner, Luxton, Lillie, Grady, Gabby and Asher.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents Gene and Lucille (Catt) Carpenter and brothers Souany, Don, Shawn and Rick Carpenter.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday December 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
