Connie Stormes

Mrs. Connie Stormes, 71, of Knobel, AR., passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Stormes was born December 25, 1950 in Brookings, AR. She owned and ran Stormes Grocery in Knobel for many years and also worked at Monroe for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling, rock hunting and spending time with her family. She was a member of Knobel Pentecostal Church.

On May 18, 1968, she married Stanley Stormes. They were married 53 years prior to his death on September 17, 2021.

Survivors include her son Chad (Janey) Stormes of Knobel, AR.; brother Michael (Donna) Archer of Walcott, AR.; sisters Lula (Alvin) Taylor of Cabot, AR. and Lavadna (Lloyd) Farmer of Knobel, AR.; grandchildren Haylie, Natalie, Drew, and Leighann; great grandchild Kylie; and several other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son Greg Stormes; parents Everett and Lucille (Arnold) Archer; brother Billy Archer; and sisters Karen Arnold, Kathy Smith, Tywanna Hyde, Cecelia Meredith, and Jackie Derby.

Visitation will be Friday, April 8, 2022 from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will follow at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, AR., at 2:00 PM with Bro. Matthew Jones officiating.
