Cora Lee Martin, aged 74, of Success, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at her home. Born on October 7, 1951, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, Mrs. Martin dedicated much of her life to serving others through her work with the Arkansas Area Agency on Aging prior to her retirement.

Cora found joy in simple pleasures such as solving crossword puzzles, reading romance novels, spending time on her tablet, and playing lottery scratch-off tickets. Her faith was central to her life, and she drew great comfort from reading her Bible.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons Randy Martin of Corning, Arkansas; David Martin of Success, Arkansas; James Martin of Corning, Arkansas; and Timmy Martin of Grovetown, Georgia. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who cherished her presence.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her daughter Lavonda Jane Martin; her parents Charley and Jessie (Hill) Scherrers; her brothers Jay, Ervin, Darrell, Billy, and Johnny Scherrers; and her sisters Evelyn Rouse, Bonnie Thatch, Mary McElhaney, Tommy Jean Wibble, and Martha Scherrers.

Family, friends, and all who knew Cora are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will commence at 4:00 PM, followed by burial at the Corning Cemetery.

Cora Lee Martin’s life was a testament to faith, family, and kindness, and her memory will be cherished by all who were fortunate to know her.
