Dal Woolard

Dal Woolard, 62, passed away on August 30, 2026 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. He was born on November 18, 1963, in Pocahontas, AR.

Dal graduated from Corning High School in 1982. On April 21, 1984 he married his high school sweetheart, Cheri Goodman and she survives. For 42 years, they enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals, Arkansas State Red Wolves, Arkansas Razorbacks, and Dallas Cowboys. They spent countless hours at Current River and Norfork Lake.

Other survivors include his son, Ethan Woolard; his mother Barbara Woolard; his brothers, Chad (Melissa), Matt (Cindy), Nathan (Jennifer) Woolard; his grandmother, Lora Woolard, and his father-in-law, Gene Goodman all of Corning. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends also survive.

He was proceeded in death by fathers Carl Punk Poyner and Dan Woolard; his grandparents, Sidney and Ola Mae Allyn, Jesse and Agnes Poyner and Rettus Woolard and his mother-in-law Charlotte Goodman, and many other loved ones.

Dal was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Success, AR where he was a faithful servant for many years. He was thankful for the many relationships he shared with his church family.

Dal was the owner and operator of Dal Woolard Construction LLC. He took great pride in his work where he made many good friends throughout the years.

Dal enjoyed spending time at Norfork Lake, fishing, hunting, and cooking out with his family.

Dal will be remembered for his hard work and service in his church and community. He will be missed by his family, friends, and loved ones. As his last giving act, Dal’s organs were donated to Mid-America Transplant.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00pm. At Ermert Funeral Home in Corning, AR.

Visitation will continue Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 2:00pm at First Baptist Church in Success, Ar with funeral Services at 3:00pm. Officiated by Bro. Seth Haile and Jerry Sollis. Burial will follow at Hitt Cemetery in Success, Ar.
