Mr. Cecil Dale Cooper, 73, of Poplar Bluff, MO., passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Cooper was born in Corning, AR., on October 16, 1944. He worked for Napa Auto Tire and Parts and sold auto parts at various locations in the Poplar Bluff area for 50 years. He enjoyed selling auto parts, Cardinal baseball, traveling and spending time with his family. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force and attended House of Prayer in Corning, AR.
He married his wife of 49 years Mrs. Janet Lee (Pierce) Cooper on December 23, 1966. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2016.
He is survived by his special niece Michele and husband Keith Ingram of Corning, AR.; brother Jerold Cooper of Piggott, AR.; five sisters Naomi Housdan of Corning, AR., Ruth Cavitt of Corning, AR., Mary Hoover of Corning, AR., Alice Ferguson of Corning, AR., Anna Pritchard of Corning, AR.; three grandchildren Toby Ingram, Amber Ingram and Taylor Ingram.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents Cecil Daniel and Samantha Gertrude (Hart) Cooper and one brother James Cooper.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy McMasters officiating. Burial will follow the services in Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 2:00 PM until the time of services.
Proudly serving as Pallbearers will be Rusty Divine, Mitch Mitchell, Donald Cash, Rick Helton, Jimmy Martin, and Charles Blackmon. Honorary pallbearer is Jerry Sneathern.
