Dallas Boyd

Mr. Dallas Boyd, 80, of Birch Tree, MO., passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 at home. Mr. Boyd was born in Knobel, AR., on March 4, 1932. He was a retired set-up man and truck driver who enjoyed trapping, hunting, and playing pool. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith.

He married his wife Wanda Boyd on July 22, 1955. She preceded him in death on February 24, 2011.

He is survived by two sons Willard Gene Boyd of Birch Tree, MO., David Boyd of Birch Tree, MO.; one daughter Delilah Boyd of Birch Tree, MO.; two brothers Norman Boyd of Texarkana, AR., Lonnie Boyd, Sr. of Knobel, AR.; four sisters Leona and husband Ralph Johnson of Knobel, AR., Darlene Dolan of Corning, AR., Evelyn and husband Tom Hines of Willington, NC., Geraldine Denby of Frost Proof, FL.; four grandchildren Amanda, Kanaan, Amy, and Shannon Boyd; and sister-in-law Glenda Boyd of Corning, AR.

He was preceded in death by wife; one son Dallas Ray Boyd; his parents Clarence and Marie (Chappell) Boyd; two brothers Darl Boyd, Loyal Boyd; and one sister Anita Allyn.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, AR. Puiblic visitation will be held Friday, March 16, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
