Obituary

Dana Hunt, age 55, of Corning, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Born on August 10, 1970, in Paragould, Arkansas, Dana dedicated many years of her professional life to serving her community through her work at H&R Block in Corning, where she helped numerous individuals with their tax preparations. She delighted in supporting her children by cheering them on at Bobcat sporting events, embracing the lively spirit of the games.

In her leisure time, Dana enjoyed exploring yard sales, watching game shows, and visiting the zoo. She found joy in listening to music and cherished moments spent with her family and friends. Dana held a special affection for her dog, Opie. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a devoted attendee of Hope General Baptist Church in Marmaduke, Arkansas.

Dana is lovingly remembered by her children: Brett (Allie) Hunt of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Peyton Cartwright of Marmaduke, Arkansas, and Christopher Myers of Pocahontas, Arkansas; her parents, Roy and Carol Hunt of Corning, Arkansas; her sister Shelly (Martin) Johnson of Corning, Arkansas; her grandchild, Leia Iris Hunt; her nephew, Austin (Bre) Johnson; her niece, Alexis (Matthew) Floyd; along with many great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Tommy Cartwright, and her son’s girlfriend, Izabella Brasfield.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Ernie Rinks officiating. Burial will be held afterward at the Corning Cemetery.

Dana’s warmth, dedication, and loving spirit touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
