Danny Harold Tharp

Mr. Danny Harold Tharp, 75, of Success, AR., passed away Saturday, January 1, 2022 at General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, MO. Mr. Tharp was born June 14, 1946 in St. Louis, MO. He was a retired truck driver, farmer, and teacher who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren on the farm. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during Vietnam and was a purple heart recipient. He was a member of Corning VFW and Poplar Bluff DVA. He attended First Assembly of God in Pocahontas.

On June 23, 1990, he married Marsha Weir. They recently celebrated their 31 ^st anniversary. Other survivors include his children Kevin (Kim) Tharp and Leanne Tharp, both of Pocahontas; step-daughter Heather (Brad) Hodge of Corning; brothers Mike (Patsy) Tharp of Naylor, MO and Terry (Dianne) Tharp of Hot Springs; grandchildren Colby (Christine) Tharp, Brianna (Trey) Norwood, Landen Edwards, Zachary and Logan Tharp, Jordan Garner (Shawn), Ashlynn (Dylan) Hewett, and Isaiah Weir; and great grandchildren Greyson, Hunter, Levi, and Presley.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Davine (Lincoln) Tharp.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Terry Miller and Rev. Bob Fry officiating. Burial will be at Corning Cemetery.
