Darlene Hopkins Dillard

Darlene Hopkins Dillard, 79, of Mountain Home, AR., passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. Mrs. Dillard was born August 10, 1942 in Peach Orchard, AR. She was retired and attended Faith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

On Dec. 16, 1961 she married Donald Hopkins. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2012. She and Billy Dillard were married on July 25, 2013. They recently celebrated 8 years of marriage. Other survivors include their children Donny (Kelly) Hopkins of Corning, AR., Debra (J.) Finley of McDougal, AR., Cindi Newsome of Oklahoma City, OK., Lloyd (Sabrina) Dillard of Warr Acres, OK., Moe (Kathy) Dillard of Loyal, OK., Vickie Southerland of Oklahoma City, OK., Veronica (Jeff) Shepperd of Minco, OK., Dwight (Pam) Loyd of Oklahoma City, OK., and Michelle (Dwayne) Shier of Mexico, MO.; sisters Mary Hart of Rockford, IL., and Betty (Gary) Haggard of Corning, AR.; grandchildren Byshay, Madison, Emmy, Mason, Ashley, Dallas, Eric, Jason, Michael, Keith, Allison, Joanna, Jared, Kurtis, and Kourtney; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her first husband, Donald, she was also preceded in death by her parents Frank and Lucy (Bowers) Smith; brother James “Bud” Smith; sisters Elwanda Robins and Hazel Whelchel; and grandchildren Julie Baumgardner and Dustin Bryant.

Visitation will be Saturday September 18, 2021 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Jeff Hart officiating. Burial will be at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal.
