Darrell Christopher

Mr. Darrell Christopher, 78, of Piggott, AR., passed away Saturday, January 1, 2011 at Murphy Health and Rehabilitation Center in Piggott, AR. Mr. Christopher was born in Rector, AR. He was factory worker at Darling Store Fixtures, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Armry during the Korean War, he was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by two daughters Bernita Gail Schlichting of Glencoe, AR., Debra Smith of Tenn.; three sons Robert Christopher of Mich., Kevin Christopher of Okla., Shawn Christopher of Paragould, AR.; one sister Vona Peak of Paint Rock, TX.; four brothers Cecil Christopher of Phoenix, AZ., Byron Christopher of Flagstaff, AZ., Boyce Christopher of Burton, MI., Terry Christopher of Flint, MI.; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by wife Ella Christopher; parents Walter and Geneva (Mannon) Christopher; two sisters Verla Christopher, Sharon Wildmo; one brother Dwayne Christopher and gradson Franklin Maclin.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lee Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow the service in Liberty Hill Cemetery outside of Rector, AR. Public visitation will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
