Obituary

Darren Patrick Miller, age 59, of Corning, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Born on June 14, 1966, he was the beloved son of Imogene Miller and the late Gordon Miller. On October 5, 2002, Darren married his loving wife, Judy (Hoag) Miller.

Darren was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend whose presence brought strength, laughter, and love to all who knew him. He dedicated 38 years to his career as a truck driver, serving with Arkansas/American Freightways, FedEx, and concluding his career at Peco Foods. Notably, he spent 33 years with FedEx and was honored with the Master President’s Safety Team Award for achieving over 25 years without an accident or injury. His strong work ethic and dependable nature were hallmarks of his professional life, and he took great pride in his work.

Outside of his career, Darren enjoyed the outdoors, including camping, fishing, and deer hunting. He especially treasured trout fishing at Norfork Dam and cherished making memories with family and friends. Darren was also actively involved in his community through volunteering with Growing Corning Together and was a faithful member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Corning.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Miller; his beloved son, Patrick Miller of Success, Arkansas; his mother, Imogene Miller; his brother Terry (Carol) Miller; and his sister Lynn (Jim) VanNada, all of Corning, Arkansas. Darren also leaves behind his stepdaughters Gala (Duane) Blanchard of Corning, Arkansas, Jennifer (Jeremy) Smith of Bartlett, Tennessee and Christy Edwards of Corning, Arkansas.

Known affectionately as “Pawpaw,” Darren’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren Kenzie, Luke, Spencer and Trevor Blanchard; Cody (Angelica) Crosby, Clayton Crosby; and Kelsea Graves. He was also a cherished uncle to Amanda (Nicholas), Henry, and Ethan Sutfin; Jennifer (Stanley) Benson; and Nathan (Jennifer), Jake, and Eli VanNada.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Miller; his sister-in-law, Janice Miller; and his dear niece, Jessica Miller.

Darren will be remembered for his kind heart, unwavering dedication to his family, and the many lives he touched throughout the years. His memory will forever be treasured by those who loved him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 12 noon in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with John Bradshaw officiating. Burial will the services at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, Arkansas.
