David Blankenship

David Blankenship, 57, of Rector, AR., passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR.

David was born on November 17, 1967, in Paragould, AR., David was a dedicated farmer and skilled land-leveler. He had a passion for dirt track racing and proudly owned and drove his own stock car at local tracks. When he wasn't working or racing, David enjoyed spending time with his family, barbequing, fishing, and gaming. He was a man of the Christian faith and lived life with energy, commitment, and a deep love for his family and hobbies.

On May 21, 1988, he married Pam Hovis, and together they recently celebrated 37 years of marriage.

In addition to his loving wife, David is also survived by his children, Ashtin Blankenship, Dustin Smith, Austin Blankenship, and Robin Woods; his brother, Keith (Rhonda) Blankenship of Ozark, MO; and his sister, Gail (Buck) Dollins of Pollard, AR.: He was a proud grandfather to Olivia and Larrin Woolard, Khloe and Lillian Smith, and Macee and Oliver Blankenship. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Mary (Cook) Blankenship; his sister, Jean Blankenship; and his nephew, Bryan Dollins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM with Reverend Roger Hovis officiating. Burial will follow the services at New Liberty Cemetery near Marmaduke, AR.
