David Edwards

Mr. Roy David Edwards, 63, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mr. Edwards was born in Blytheville, AR., on June 18, 1955. He was a past administrator at the Corning Nursing Home and past Fire Chief of the Corning Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on the computer. He was a member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church on Corning, AR.

He is survived by his mother Rayo Anita (Veach) Edwards of Corning, AR.; his son Matthew David Edwards of Horn Lake, MS.; brother Kerry Edwards of Osceola, AR.; sister Karen Crismon of Poplar Bluff, MO.; step-son Tyler Gaines; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Frank Russell Edwards and half-brother Frankie Meeker.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Corning Cemetery with James Keel officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 2:00 PM until the time of service in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
