David Woods

David Woods, 70, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Woods was born the son of the late A. C. Woods, Sr. and Minnie Mae (Whitaker) Woods on October 28, 1953 in Poplar Bluff, MO. After college, he came home to Corning to run Woods GMC-Oldsmobile Dealership with his father. Afterward, he began his career as an insurance agent and then went on to purchase Bluff Lanes in Poplar Bluff, MO with his wife, Tina. Later, he farmed with his son. He was a past member of Lion’s Club. David enjoyed bowling, fishing, listening to music, playing the drums and spending time at the lake and pool with his grandkids, family and friends. He was of the Christian faith.

On July 14, 1973, he married Tina Smith. They were married 48 years prior to her death on October 6, 2021.

Survivors include his children Mark (Dalene) Woods of Paragould, AR., and Stephanie Moser of Batesville, AR.; brother Kippy (Jane) Woods of Corning, AR.; sisters Betty Woods of Little Rock, AR., and Becky Landreth of South Bend, IN.; grandchildren Marka and Bentley Woods, Katelyn and Kaleb Moser; great grandchild Gemma Nicole Woods; and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday July 7, 2024 at 100 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel Funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM with Timmy Woods officiating. Burial will follow the services at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould, AR.
