Obituary

Delcia Byrlene Barker, age 85, of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Brylene was born September 16, 1940 in McDougal, Arkansas. She was known to her family and friends as Byrlene, she was a cherished mother, wife, and grandmother whose life was centered around her family and her faith in the Lord. Byrlene's unwavering devotion and nurturing spirit brought comfort to all who knew her. She shared 67 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Curtis Barker, a true testament to their enduring love.

Byrlene is survived by her husband, Curtis; her children and their spouses, Mike and Stephanie Barker, Gary and Angel Barker, Jeff and Teresa Barker, and Shayla and David White; her grandchildren, Jerrod Barker, Eric Barker, Joshua Barker, Rachel Hattenhauer and Emma White; 15 great grandchildren, as well as her siblings, James Brandon and Betty Brandon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Byrl Isaac; her mother, Delcie Imogene Brandon; her stepfather, James Brandon; her brothers, Elvis Brandon and Coy Isaac; and her treasured grandson, Kaine White.

Visitation will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the services at Rogers Cemetery near Crockett.

Byrlene was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though our hearts are heavy, we find solace in the belief that she is now at peace.

As scripture reminds us, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8
