Mr. Deloy J. Lawson, 93, of Paragould, AR., passed away Friday, June 26, 2020 at home. Mr. Lawson was born in Neelyville, MO., on November 12, 1926. He retired after 49 years as a Construction Superintendent from Clay County Electric. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during World War II, he was an LCT driver, during the Normandy Invasion, Omaha Beach, Easy Red Sector, 25 th Wave. He was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason, member of Sahara Temple in Pine Bluff, AR. and past Grand Master of Corning Masonic Lodge #719. He enjoyed coaching baseball, ball room dancing, running marathons, (in fact he ran over 25,000 miles in his lifetime), hunting, collecting knives and hatchets. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Corning, AR.

He is survived by sons Randy Lawson and wife Carol of Hollywood, MD., Richie Lawson and wife Nila of Germantown, TN.; grandchildren Meghan Caslin, Justin and Aaron Lawson, Todd Lowery; great-grandchildren Sean William and Lilly Caslin, West Emory Lawson; stepsons Mark Locke of Corning, AR., Michael Locke of Lodi, CA.; and brother Tom Lawson of Poplar Bluff, MO.

He was preceded in death by wives Alfreda Lawson and Rosemary Locke Lawson; and parents Ernest O. and Clara Beulah (Berry) Lawson.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Ennis, and Reverends Jerry Arnold and Mace Straubel officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020, from 1:00 PM until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers the family request Memorials be made to Wings of Honor Museum, 70 Beacon Road, Walnut Ridge, AR 72476.
