Dennis Evans

Mr. Dennis Dewayne Evans, 67, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Saint Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Evans was born in Corning, AR., on January 22, 1944. He was a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Platka Church of Christ.

He married his wife Barbara Jean (Forehand) Evans on April 5, 1977. She survives. Other survivers include two sons Shane Evans of Corning, AR., Kevin Evans of Corning, AR.; one daughter Kimberly Evans of Corning, AR.; his mother Dorothy (Huggins) Evans of Corning, AR.; one step-son Kevin Spurlock of Marmaduke, AR.; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Luther Evans; brother Lonnie Evans; two step-sons Mark Spurlock and Marty Spurlock.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Public visitation will be held Saturday, December 30, 2011 from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
