Dennis Rex Rice

Dennis “Dennie” Rex Rice, 74, of Corning passed away May 21, 2019 at St. Bernard’s Medcial Center in Jonesboro.

Mr. Rice was born January 15, 1945 in Kenilworth, UT. He was retired from Alberto V05 where he was a compounder and batch maker. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and spending time with his family.

On April 30, 1966, he married his wife of 53 years, Peggy Watkins.

Along with his wife, other survivors include his children Steven Rice of Brandenburg, KY, Brian (Christina Bruder) McNiel of Bolingbrook, IL, and Kari Berblinger of Joliet, IL; brother Travis (Ana) Rice of Port St. Lucie, FL; sister Shirley Alexander of Plainfield, IL; 10 grandchildren Amber, Kayla, Kevin, Rachel, Keith, Kyle, Matthew, Collin, Thomas, and Austin; and 9 great grandchildren Kassidy, Logan, Kristian, Caroline, Kali, Remy, Allie, and Raylynn.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Thomas Rice and Ruth Curtis Brown; son Dennis Rex Rice, Jr.; grandson Dennis Ray Rice; and great grandson Kody Joseph Dassie.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Cam Stevens officiating.
