Diane Ely

Ms. Carolyn Diane (McMillin) Ely, 67, of Poplar Bluff. MO., passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Polar Bluff, MO. Ms. Ely was born in Kennett, MO., on January 10, 1951. She was a retired assembly worker at Tacony Corporation. She enjoyed attending church, reading the Bible and spending time with, giving to and helping out her family, friends and others in need. She was Baptist in faith.

She is survived by her three children Rodney Calhoun of McDougal, AR., Jennifer and husband Johnny Bierman of Smyrna, TN., Nathan Calhoun of McDougal, AR.; her children’s father Dennis Calhoun of Rector, AR.; seven siblings Veda Bailey of Saint Louis, MO., Roy McMillin of Park Hills, MO., Juanita Counts of Saint Louis, MO., Corene and husband Jim Smith of Saint Charles, MO., Harold McMillin of Poplar Bluff, MO., Collene and husband Don Poole of Saint Louis, MO., Billy McMillin and wife Louise of Springfield, MO.; seventeen grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Virgil Lee and Sadie Alene (Barker) McMillin; two brothers Gary McMillin and Raymond McMillin.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 12:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
