Dois Phelan

Mrs. Dois Jean Phelan, 88, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Phelan was born in Crockett, AR., on June 18, 1931. She was a farmer’s wife in addition to working many years at Basler Electric. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, crocheting and spending time with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

She married her husband of 57 years Mr. Billie Phelan on December 23, 1948, he preceded her in death on March 30, 2006.

She is survived by her children Dewayne Phelan and wife Velma of Corning, AR., Pamela and husband Steve Higgs of Rockford, IL.; grandchildren Marinda and husband Michael Archer, Billy Phelan and wife Julie, Barry Higgs and wife Jenn, Chris Higgs and wife Lori; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild arriving in April this year.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Virgil and Myrtle (Bradberry) Cochran; brothers Charles Cochran and James Cochran.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Josh Raspberry officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
