Mr. Donald George Pankey, 82, of Biggers, AR., passed away Monday, April 10, 2017 at home. Mr. Pankey was born in McCrory, AR., on March 26, 1935. He was a landscaper who loved gardening. He was a member of Biggers Baptist Church.
He married his wife of 63 years Mrs. Caroline "Carol" Kathryn (Nelson) Pankey on October 30, 1953. She survives, other survivors include his children Donald J Pankey of Pocahontas, AR., Robert Pankey of Biggers, AR., Brenda Hixson of Texas, Pamela Dowthitt of Texas, Michael Pankey of Steele, MO., Steven Pankey of Biggers, AR., David Pankey of Biggers, AR., Tina Pankey of Pocahontas, AR., Tonya Pankey of Biggers, AR.; two sisters Esther Tanner of Biggers, AR., Maudie Mitchell of Louisiana; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents Ross and Maggie (Brummett) Pankey; daughter Dorothy Lane; grandson Keeven Pankey; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Ray officiating. Burial will follow the services at Nelson Cemetery in Reyno, AR. Visitation will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 from 11:00 AM until the time of services.
