Donald Ray Smith

Donald Ray Smith, 71, of Corning passed away February 22, 2022 at Regional One Health Elvis Presley Trauma Center in Memphis, TN.

Mr. Smith was born November 15, 1950 in Corning. He cut wood for many people in Clay County and surrounding areas. He was retired from Clay County Electric. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.

On August 8, 2009, he married Martha “Lou” Pratt who survives. They celebrated their 12 ^th anniversary last year. Other survivors include his step-children Sandra Gardner and James Henry of IL; brother Raymond Smith of Corning; sisters Nina Chandler of Searcy and Dorothy Richmond of Bowling Green, KY; and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Archie Lee and Leona Mae (Bowen) Smith; brother Andy Smith; sister Joyce Smith; and first wife Brenda Lee Smith.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning. Funeral service will be Saturday at the funeral home at 2 p.m. with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will be at Cantwell Cemetery.
