Donna Cate

Mrs. Donna Cate, 69, of Corning, AR., passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at home. Mrs. Cate was born in Piggott, AR., on March 7, 1950. She worked at Cate Pharmacy as a Pharmacist Technician. She enjoyed cooking, trying new restaurants, shopping, watching the Saint Louis Cardinals, collecting cookbooks, traveling and playing with her dog Boo. She was a graduate of Piggott High School and attended Arkansas State University.

She married the love of her life and husband of 49 years Mr. Dennis Cate on January 17, 1970. He survives, other survivors include her mother Hazel Marget (Nash) Veal of Piggott, AR.; a brother Billy Curtiss Veal and wife Penny of Piggott, AR.; a sister in law Holly and husband Chad Colbert of Bay, AR.; granddaughter Kaitynn Hill; great-grandson Jesse Hill, Jr.; two nieces Erica Nelson, Traci and husband Tony Fuhrman; nephews Jacob Nelson, Kyle Birmingham and wife Emily, great nieces and nephews Michael Fuhrman, Paige Fuhrman, Garrett Fuhrman, Evie Birmingham, Emmit Birmingham; and hundreds of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Harry Curtiss Veal; two sons Brian Dennis Cate and Scott Curtis Cate.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Charles Lewis and Josh Raspberry officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, AR. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.

Proudly serving as pallbearers are Chad Watson, Chris Shourd, David Taylor, Daniel Plemons, Bryan Bass and Blake Carter.
