Mr. Donald C. Brakefield, 36, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at home. Mr. Brakefield was born in Peoria, IL., on October 29, 1975. He was a city employee, he enjoyed watching sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his son Dalton Moore of Piggott, AR.; his mother Valerie (Higley) and her husband James Pratt of Robertsville, MO., his father Michael Brakefield and wife Kathleen of Macon, GA.; five brothers James, Joshua and Joseph Pratt, Lake and Logan Brakefield.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Justice Evelyn Bliss Brakefield; grandparents Charles and Bessie Evelyn Highley.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Eric Leroux officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
