Mrs. Doris Lorene Weston, 92, of Pocahontas, AR., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab in Pocahontas, AR. Mrs. Weston was born in West plains, MO., on August 14, 1923. She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, gardening, knitting, fishing, and spending time with family. She was a member of New Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Pocahontas, AR.
She married her husband of 64 years Mr. Frank S. Weston on October 3, 1941. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2005.
She is survived by four children Steve Weston of Corning, AR., Jim Weston of Pocahontas, AR., Diana and husband Joe Allen of Corning, AR., Carolyn and husband Gale Ray of Pocahontas, AR.; five brothers Lewis Dix of Wilsonville, OR., Ray Dix of Laceys Spring, AL., Bob Dix of McCrory, AR., Charles Dix of Prineville, OR., Gene Dix of Junction City, OR.; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents Alfred and Lula (Goss) Dix; one son Bobbie Weston; three brothers Harold Dix, Lester Dix and Richard Dix.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Burial will follow the services in Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 2:00 PM until the time of services.
