Dorothy Barton

Mrs. Dorothy Barton, 76, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, AR. Mrs. Barton was a retired owner of Jordon's Shoe Store, during her life she worked as vice-president of bookkeeping for the Corning Bank and as a bookkeeper for Blue Riggan at John Deere. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, canning and fishing. She was a member of Old Reyno Freewill Baptist Church in Reyno, AR.

She married her husband of 59 years Mr. Vernon Ray Barton on April 21, 1959. He survives, other survivors are one daughter Regina and husabnd Chuck Finn of Green Cove Springs, FL.; one grandson Jordon Whitley and wife Naomi of Corning, AR.; three great-grandchildren Taytum, Aubree and Brody.

She was perceded in death by her parents Christopher Henry and Lula Mae (Rogers) Allmandinger; brother Fredrick Allmandinger; sister Anna Mayberry; half-sister Dollie Coonce and grandson Josh Whitley.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Old Reyno Freewill Baptist Church in Reyno, AR., with Anthony Dowdy officiating. Burial will follow the services at the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, July 9, 2018 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.

In Lieu of flowers the family ask that memorials be made to Old Reyno Freewill Baptist Church.
