Mrs. Dorothy Catheryn Hale, 71, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR. Mrs. Hale was born in Corning, AR., on May 7, 1942. She was retired from Darling Store Fixtures where she worked in packing. She enjoyed watching Cardinals baseball and spending time with her family. She was of the Church of Christ faith.
She married he husband Ray Louis Hale on November 19, 1971. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2010.
She is survived by four sons Tony Vanpool of Winterhaven, FL., Floyd Vanpool of Rogers, AR., Brad Hale of Paragould, AR., Terry Hale of Paragould, AR.; one daughter Gidget Ervin of Corning, AR.; one sister Jean Lamborn of Corning, AR.; one half-sister Nina Ray Curtis of Knobel, AR.; fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Edward Eugene and Ruth Marie (Day) Wilder; one brother Eddie Lee Wilder and one sister Anita Weaver.
Funeral service will be conducted Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
