Dorothy Southerly, 81, of Marmaduke passed away Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
Mrs. Southerly was a homemaker who enjoyed crotchet, gardening, and fishing. She was of the Baptist faith.
On December 21, 1946 she was united in marriage to William Southerly in Corning. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1997.
Survivors include two sons Albert Southerly of Marmaduke and David Southerly of Piggott; three daughters Willa Dean Champney of Estes Park, Col., Betty Niceschwander of Lamar, Col., and Rose L. Mooneyhan of Lafe; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Southerly; son William H. Southerly; two daughters Barbara Ann Southerly and Elizabeth Bailey; parents Troy and Edna Miller; brothers Elmer and Roy Miller; sisters Ethel and Sylvie; and a grandson Justin Southerly.
Funeral service will be Saturday 2 p.m. at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning with Rev. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow in Ramer’s Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke.
Visitation will be Saturday 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
