Loyal Douglas Cannady, fondly known as Doug, departed this world on June 26, 2026, at his home in Oak Grove, Arkansas, enveloped in the loving embrace of his cherished family.

Born on May 30, 1955, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, Doug embraced a life deeply rooted in hard work and tranquility. A dedicated farmer and Farm Chemical Salesman, he found joy in the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing, and gardening. His passions extended to his unwavering support for Razorback sports, yet it was the moments spent with family that he held most dear.

Doug's enduring legacy is carried forward by his beloved wife, Patricia Cannady Bland; his children, Stacey Newman (A. J.) of Russellville, Arkansas, Liz Cannady of Corning, Arkansas, and Nick (Katherine Hall) Cannady of Greenbelt, Maryland. He is also survived by his brother, David (Peggy)Cannady of Houston, Texas, and grandchildren Jolie Cannady, and Olivia and Jayke Bolen.

He was predeceased by his parents, Dewayne and Margaret (Benson) Cannady.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, officiated by David Cox. Doug will be laid to rest in Richwoods Cemetery, Corning, Arkansas.
