Mr. Earl Cate, 84, of Ravenden Springs, AR., passed away Friday, November 13, 2020 at home with his loving family. Earl was born in Hickoria, AR., on December 29, 1935. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed hunting and watching Cardinal Baseball. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at Annieville, AR.

He married his wife of 66 years Mrs. Sue (Welty) Cate on October 2, 1954, she survives. Other survivors include his children Susan and husband Randy Shelton of Lafayette, IN., Lindell Cate and wife Denise of DeSoto, MO., Lisa and husband Frankie Haller of Knobel, AR.; brother Cecil Cate of Greenville, MO.; sisters Pauline (Milburn) Pierce of Corning, AR., Euvilla Bland of Paragould, AR., Carolyn Matheny of Rector, AR.; seven grandchildren Brad Davis, Clint Davis, Logan Davis, Lindsay (Cate) Copeland, Brian Haller, Justin Haller and Jessie Haller; 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents B.F. and Ona (Woods) Cate; brothers Arvil Cate, Leon Cate; sisters Imogene Milburn, Margaret Cate, Wanda Crossfield and Linda Welty.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal, AR., Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Reverends Mike Chadwick and Ernie Cate officiating.
