Mr. Earnest Hayden Locke, 94, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Locke was born in Delaplaine, AR., on August 16, 1921. He was self-employed until he retired. He was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country as a member of the United States Army. He was a member of Rapert-Poyner VFW Post # 8347 in Corning, AR.
He is survived by six are children Earnest Steve Locke, Roberta Locke, Rebecca Locke, Diane Lee Locke, Eastene Locke, Sharon Ann Locke; two brothers Henry Locke of Corning, AR., and Virgil Locke of Jacksonville, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert Hayden and Lillie Esker (Clayton) Locke Locke; three brothers Robert, John, Raymond; two sisters Emma and Jewell.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, April 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Corning Cemetery with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until the time of service in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
