Edna Shourd-Donaldson

Mrs. Edna Mae Shourd-Donaldson, 92, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at home. Mrs. Shourd-Donaldson was born in Star City, AR., on January 30, 1920. She retired from Basler Electric Company where she was an assembler. She enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles and swinging in her porch swing with her dog "Sammy Jo." She was of the Baptist faith.
She married her first husband Olen C. "Dude" Shourd on November 27, 1937. Her preceded her in death in June of 1974. She married a second time to husband Merle Donaldson, he also preceded her in death in June of 1993.
She is survived by two sons Joe Shourd and wife Judy of Maryland, Gerald Shourd and wife Tracy of Doniphan, MO.; one daughter Annette and husband Jerry Vannada of Corning, AR.; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by both her husbands; her parents Willis Jackson and Marion Inez (Stringfellow) Dutton; three sons Olen "Sonny" Shourd, Johnny Shourd, Bobby Shourd; two brothers Albert Dutton, Jack Dutton and sister Olena Dutton.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Corning Cemetery with Wayne Baldwin officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel.
