Mrs. Edna Simpson, 93, of Paragould, AR., formerly of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Greene Acres Nursing Home in Paragould. Mrs. Simpson was born in Palatka, AR., on September 2, 1919. She was a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ in Paragould, AR.
She married her husband of sixty three years Uluss Simpson on April 20, 1935. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1999.
She is survived by one daughter Lula Mae and her husband Eldon Talbott of Mountain Home, AR.; one son Donis Simpson and wife Barbara of Paragould, AR.; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents Vincent and Susie Elizabeth (O’Neal) Schull; six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Dan Stokes officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paragould Children’s Homes, 5515 Walcott Rd., Paragould 72450.
