Mr. Elbert Clinton Hawkins, 85, of Corning, AR., passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Saint Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Hawkins was born in Success, AR., on July 16, 1930. He was retired from Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. He was a member of the Corning Church of Christ.
He married his wife of 57 years Mrs. Anna Sue (Weese) Hawkins on June 21, 1958, she survives, he is also survived by his two sons Randy Hawkins of Corning, AR., Michael Hawkins of Corning, AR; and grandson Blake Craft.
He was preceded in death by his parents Elvis and Ethel (Jacobs) Hawkins; his daughter Gail Hawkins; two brothers Bud Hawkins and Kenneth Hawkins.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow the services in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:00 PM until the time of service.
