Elco Rosson, Jr.

Mr. Elco Rosson, Jr. of Corning, AR., formerly of Birth Tree, MO., passed away Thursday, November 11, 2010 at home. Mr. Rosson was born in Parsons, TN. He was a retired machinist and welder, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War, he enjoyed welding, woodworking, building things, spending time outdoors and being with his family, he was of the Baptist faith.

He was married to Barbara Rosson, she preceded him in death on August 5, 2010.

He is survived by seven sons Randy Rosson of Mountain Home, AR., Robert Rosson of Springfield, MO., Kenneth Rosson of Moorhead, MN., Steven Rosson of Austin, AR., David Rosson of Austin, AR., Kevin McEwen of Mountain View, MO., Jim McEwen of Mountain View, MO.; three daughters Yvonne Bowers of Bakersfield, MO., Barbara Halcomb of Corning, AR., Natalie Grover of Mountain View, MO.; his mother Lutie Rosson of Piggott, AR.; two sisters Mary Hallgren of Rockford, IL., Pat Brauner of Piggott, AR.; eighteen grandchildren Brandy, Rachel, Matthew, Elizabeth, Noah & Alex Rosson, Layden & Zailey Halcomb, Trevor Messer, Candace Chowning, James & Brianna Mercer, Lauren, Corrine, Justinn, Ehrin, Trinity, and Courtney McEwen.

He was preceded in death by wife Barbara Rosson and father William Elco Rosson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chris Dixon officiating. Burial will follow the service in the New Hope Cemetery at Pollard, AR. Public visitation will be held Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
