Mrs. Elnora “Lady” Coleman, 88, of Corning, AR., passed away Monday, June 17, 2019 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. Mrs. Coleman was born in Moark, AR., on March 4, 1931. She was retired from Johansen Brothers Shoe Factory. After retiring, she loved and cared for several children in the community including her own grandkids and great-grandkids. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting, cooking and church activities. She was a member of Moark Highway Tabernacle near Corning, AR.
She married her husband of 59 years Mr. Ralph “Bud” Coleman on October 4, 1952. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2012.
She is survived by her son Bill Coleman of Jonesboro, AR., her daughter Beverly Rives of Orange, TX.; three grandchildren Laura and husband Eric Shelton, Mark Malone and wife Angela, Michelle McNew; six great-grandchildren Drew Shaelton and wife Mallory, Carter Shelton, Mark Malone, Jr., River Malone, Nicholas McNew, Alexander McNew; brother Perry Stevens and wife Betty of Madrid, IA.; sister-in-law Garonda Stevens of Corning, AR.; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents Arlie Francis and Florence Pearl (Case) Stevens; brothers Arlie Stevens, Hiel Stevens, Bob Stevens; and son-in-law Bo Rives.
Funeral service will be be conducted Friday, June 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Ed Snow, Bill Meadors and Jeff Dutton officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20, 2019 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
