Mrs. Erma Dean (Buffington) Galeener, 86, of Corning, AR., passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Pochonatas Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pocahontas, AR. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Galeener was born to Maude Jane (Daniels) and Benjamin Floyd Buffington on April 27, 1930 in Success, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Galeener; her parents; three brothers Roscoe, Everett and Virgil Buffington; one sister Margaret K. (Buffington) Flick and three nephews Glen, Floyd and Richard Buffington.
She is survived by daughters Jane McDonald Hawsey and husband Revaughn of Evergreen, AL., Jo Ann Galeener.; sons Marion Christy Galeener, William Earl Galeener; five grandchildren Steven Lyons and wife Ani, David Lyons and wife Rita, Keven Galeener, Lisa McNeely, Kara and husband Jeff Simon; eight great-grandchildren, one niece Carolyn (Buffington) Mills; two nephews Kelley and Keith Buffington; several great- nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Black Cemetery in Palatka, AR., with Pastor Herbert Ellis officiating. Service arrangements conducted by Ermert Funeral Home, Inc.
