Eugene Taylor

Mr. Earl Eugene Taylor, 81, of Corning, AR., passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Saint Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. Mr. Taylor was born in Benton, AR., on April 13, 1937. He was formerly a teacher at Corning High School and had retired from Sears Youth Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. He enjoyed investing in and watching the stock market, hunting, fishing, collecting arrowheads and coins. He proudly served his country as a Corpsman in the United States Navy. He was of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include his children Tara and husband Steve Kegley of Corning, AR., Kristi and husband Wayman Baker of Poplar Bluff, MO., Ryan Taylorton and wife Shea of Maryland.; former wife Sue Taylor of Corning, AR.; grandchildren Kaley (Chad) Brewer, Karri (Alan) Clifton, Kandace (Alex) Baldwin, and Jake (Melanie) Kegley; and great grandchildren Taylor and Brock Brewer, Payson and Presley Clifton, Annalee and Bauer Baldwin.

He was preceded in death by his parents Arlie Earl and Erma Irene (Mendenhall) Taylor and sister Irene Tribble.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 14, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with Military Honor's will follow the services at Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
