Eva Thompson

Mrs. Eva Thompson, 94, of Corning passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning AR., Mrs. Thompson was born Gatewood, MO., she was retired having managed the Parkview Motel in Corning for many years. She enjoyed bingo, visiting with family, playing solitaire and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by three children Viola Leonard of Corning, AR., Willard “Tex” Thompson of Corning, AR., Danny Thompson of Currentview, MO.; two brothers Freeman Fann of Walnut Ridge, AR., Jack Fann of Malden, MO.; three sisters Phena Hovis of Reyno, AR., Dorothy Thompson of Collinsville, IL., Margie Layman of Troy, IL.; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband Willard “Tack” Haskill Thompson; daughter Naomi White; parents Ben and Frankie (Pippin) Fann; three brothers Lehman, Maxie, and Lloyd Fann; and one sister Ruby Skates.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Roger Hovis and Patrick Hovis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hitt Cemetery in Success, AR. Public visitation will be held Saturday, April 23, 2011 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
