Evelyn Ann Summitt

Evelyn Summit, 56, of Corning passed away February 19, 2023 at home.

Mrs. Summitt was born April 4, 1966 in Lapeer, MI. She spent 20 plus years at Lake Orion Nursing Home caring for the elderly. She spoiled and loved all of her grandchildren and has the scrap books to prove it. No matter what was going on, she always seemed to have it all together and have a smile on. It was rare to not see her smiling. She was full of love and generosity, even if it meant she had to go without in order to give to those in need. She enjoyed crafting and scrapbooking and was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Paragould.

On September 6, 2013, she married Gene Summitt. He survives. Other survivors include her children Jarrod (Bobbi) Barck of North Branch, MI and Heidi (William) Pettit of Bessemer, MI; brothers Ed (Patricia) Rudy of Lapeer, MI, Stuart (Diane) Rudy of Petersburg, TN and Adam Rudy of Flint, MI; and grandchildren Dallas, Mason, Abigail, Liam, Scarlett, and Deklan.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Phyllis (Patton) Rudy and brother Mark Rudy.

The family will hold two celebrations of life. The celebration of life in Arkansas will be determined at a later date. The celebration of life in Michigan will be held at Columbiaville United Methodist Church in Columbiaville on Saturday February 25th at 2 o'clock PM.
