Fern Johnson

Mrs. Fern Johnson, 83, of Corning, AR., passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Corning Therapy and Living Center in Corning, AR. Mrs. Johnson was born in Bismarck, MO., on February 18, 1938. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Bestway and Wanda’s Flowers in Corning. Her hobbies included bowling, crafting, cooking, visiting casinos and spending time with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Corning.

On December 7, 1957, she married Rudolph Johnson. They recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Other survivors include her children Terry and husband Rick Conrad of Paragould, AR., Jackie Johnson and wife Karla of Steele, MO.; sister Mary Hollis; grandchildren Stefanie (Duff) Compton, Matt Conrad, Taylor Laden, Justin Johnson, John Thomas Laden, Dalton Conrad and Braden Johnson; seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Marie (Nelson) Holt; brother Bill Holt; and sister Katherine Smith.

Funeral service will be conducted Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 2:00 PM In the Ermert Funeral Home Chapel with Earl Ladyman officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Corning Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 6, 2021 from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
